As early as 1978, the Swiss mathematician and musicologist Hans Custo used octave calculations to calculate the tones of the earth, moon, and planets so that they could be perceived by the human ear. The Wellness tuning fork is made from molten gong steel, a raw material specially developed for sound therapy, to optimally reproduce these unique frequencies. The fork tines measure 8 x 4 mm and exhibit tremendous vibrational quality and tone stability. The handle length has been repeatedly optimized and adjusted over years of countless hours of practice with course participants until it has now reached its optimum. For better handling and to relieve strain on your fingers during extended use, we have developed a cork handle that can be attached as an optional extra.
Our quality tuning forks are handcrafted according to a 140-year family tradition. All forks are tuned, ground, and polished several times during the production process, following our family tradition of manufacturing with the utmost precision for over 140 years. At the end of the process, a further frequency check is performed, and only then does each tuning fork receive the Barthelmes seal of approval and is released for sale.
